Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®

Course Overview

This three-day instructor-led CAPM® exam prep course is designed to provide a solid foundation in project management. Participants will work through real-world case studies and interact with fellow students to learn and apply methodologies and good practices of formal project management. The program combines a comprehensive review of major project management processes and knowledge with hands-on learning activities to ensure participants finish with practical skills which can be applied immediately on the job.

Course Objectives

Upon successfully completing the course, in addition to having a firm foundation on how to effectively lead and successfully manage projects, participants will also be adequately prepared for PMI’s entry-level Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® Certification.

In this class, you will learn to:

  • Identify the key processes and requirements of project management
  • Coordinate and integrate project activities
  • Plan and manage the project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Plan and manage project quality, risks, and procurement
  • Effectively communicate with and engage stakeholders

Prerequisites

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED (general educational development) or global equivalent

  • 23 hours of project management education

Certification Maintenance Requirements

  • Must earn 15 PDUs per three-year cycle to maintain certification

Exam Information

  • 180 minutes, 150 multiple-choice questions, drag-and-drop-style questions, and animations/comic strips.
